This paper focuses on the The Importance of Being Earnest and Lady Windermere's Fan, works by Oscar Wilde, and criticism of Victorian hypocrisy. The introductory part is dedicated to Victorian society, its issues, specificities, and values above all. Both plays are set into the socio-cultural context.
